Remarks :

Other common names are, "Jersey tea" and "Wild snowball". Growth 3 – 5 feet, flowers April to May. This deciduous plant is readily grazed by wildlife and livestock. The leaves were considered to be the best substitute for tea during the American Revolution. Adapted to calcareous soils on steeper slopes.
