Remarks :

Also known as, "Rigid Wooly-bucket bumelia", "Blackhaw", "Wooly-buckthorn", "Wooly-bumelia" and "False-buckthorn" to mention a few. Flowers June to July and the fruit matures September to October. The fruit is eaten by many wildlife species. Birds are very fond of the fruit; in fact, they get it as soon as it ripens. A gum is freely exuded from wounds on the trunk. The stiff branches form a narrow crown and are often spiny.
