Remarks :

Also known as "Sandyseed clammyweed".
The name clammy-weed refers to the sticky
or "clammy" residue left on the hands when
handling the plant and it has a foul, skunk-like
odor. This plant flowers March to October.
Adapted to sandy soils of the prairies, plains,
deserts, flats, slopes, pastures, old fields and
shrub thickets. Of little value to wildlife and
livestock. Some birds will utilize the seed as
a food source.
