Latin Name : Grindelia squarrosa
Longevity : Perennial
Season : Warm

Remarks :
Sometimes confused with "Saw-leaf daisy",
Prionnopsis ciliata. The common name comes from
the resinous sap and curling bracts that occur on the

dry soils. Many Great Plains tribes used this plant
for various medicinal purposes, including : treatment
of coughs, colds, stomach aches, liver disorders,
snow-blindness and as a wash for saddle sores.
