Remarks :

Also known as, "Yellow salsify" or "Western
salsify". This introduced species is now widely
established and has become a common weed in
many areas. Adapted to most soils in disturbed
areas, abandoned sites, edges of fields, and along
roadsides. Flowers May to July. The seed is a
large round, feathery ball of silvery-bristled seeds
when fully mature. Looks somewhat like a large
dandelion seedhead. Little value to wildlife and
livestock.
