Remarks :
Other common names, "Ten-petal blazingstar",
"Mentzelia", and "Stickleaf". Growth 1 to 3 feet
tall. Flowers June to September. Leaves, stem and
fruit are covered with minute hooked hairs that
cling so tightly to clothing or fur that they can be
quite difficult to remove. The much branched stem
is whitish in color and has a large taproot. Adapted
to dry, rough hillsides, and steep banks.
