Remarks :

Growth 1 to 3 feet tall, flowers July to
September. This plant is an important seed
source for quail and ground nesting birds. If
livestock do consume this plant in excess,
accumulations of nitrates may occur; gives
cows milk a bitter taste. Adapted to a wide
variety of soils on disturbed sites, dry
prairies and hills.
