Remarks :

Low, mat-forming annual with decumbent,
much-branched culms and slender stolons.
The tips of each leaf tapers to a fine, sharp
point. Adapted to dry, open sites; often
associated with ant-beds or other areas of
recently disturbed soils. This grass is of little
forage value to livestock and wildlife.
