Remarks :

Also known as "big alkali sacaton" or just
"big sacaton". This robust, erect perennial is
adapted to medium to coarse textured soils
along the borders of alkaline or saline areas
and occasionally found on rocky slopes.
Provides fair grazing to livestock and good
nesting cover for ground nesting birds.
