Remarks :

Large (36-80 in.), coarse perennial with
stout, creeping rhizomes. Provides good
quality forage for livestock. The foliage
cures well and it is used for winter forage.
Use by wildlife is not documented. Adapted
to deep sands, especially sand dunes. May
establish into large colonies and dominate
the site.
