Remarks :

Also known as "Fire-wheel" and "Rose ring Gaillardia". This plant is a bushy annual that grows to a height of 1 to 2 feet. Flowers from April to June, the leaves are eaten by whitetail deer. Indian blanket is the State Flower of Oklahoma. The Kiowa believed the flowers brought good luck. Adapted to dry, open, sandy soils.
