Growth type is a small deciduous shrub,
usually under 3 feet. Flowers April to
October, bi-colored pea flowers; color is
purple, yellow and fuzzy all at once. This
plant is of little importance to livestock
but is readily eaten by deer. Adapted to
dry rocky soils on hills and sandy soil.
