Remarks :

This grass can make up 10 to 15 percent of the total production on some sites, it is seldom considered a key management species because associated grasses on the site are more palatable. Similar to white tridens; the nodes are hairy on slim tridens; white tridens are smooth. The abundance of this grass indicates fair to poor range condition. Adapted to dry, rocky hillsides and sloping calcareous soils.
