Remarks :

This plant is most toxic to cattle and horses, the toxic agent is pyrrolizidine alkaloids. Poisoning is rare under good range condition when other available forage is present. Threadleaf groundsel is a many-stemmed evergreen composite. The stems and leaves are gray-green, growth 1 to 2 feet tall. Flowers March to November. Adapted to rocky, sandy or gravelly soil of dry upland prairies and roadsides.
